Dear Language-learning Enthusiast,
At the earlier stage of your learning journey, it is very normal to focus on a more generic form of your target language. It is however not advisable to continue on this path once you have reached the intermediate level on your journey. Once you cross the beginner’s line to the threshold of the intermediate stage, it is time to start speaking like a native of your target language!
One of the easiest ways to achieve this is to PARTNER UP WITH NATIVE SPEAKERS. Interact with them, share your knowledge and gain some valuable insight into how to move past the plateau level. Something that could really work is to get in touch with learners on the same intermediate level as you, but in a different target language, preferably one in which you are a native speaker. This way, both of you help each other transit into the native speaker level in your respective target languages. Basically, you are teaching and learning a language at the same time!
Learning a language is always so much fun, especially when you are making obvious and remarkable progress on the journey. Continue to work harder on making progress until you attain true fluency in your target language. You will be so much better for it!
Sincerely,
Multilang.
