Self funding means funding your own studies without any form of financial assistance such as a scholarship or study grant. This means that you would be responsible for paying your tuition, covering your cost of accommodation, living, transportation and travel expenses throughout the duration of the study programme.
As much as this may not sound like a great idea initially, you should consider self funding your postgraduate studies in 2022 because self funding is less competitive and increases your chances of starting your desired programme right away unlike scholarships which are very limited and highly competitive. When you take the self funding route, you also have the Work-study option as working during your free hours would give you the required financial assistance you need to accommodate all costs of living. The good news is, many European countries provide affordable yet quality education. Scholarships are not the only option to study abroad.
At Multilang, we provide school discovery services where we help you search for low/affordable tuition universities in the EU. Tuition in these universities may be as low as 500-1000 Euros or even free.
