As official African partners of the IAS college Germany, we present to you the Programm für Ausländische Pflegekräfte (PAP) programme. This is a preparatory programme for foreign nurses who wish to practice nursing in Germany and the EU. The programme covers German language learning, Nursing language learning, internships/work as nursing assistant in German hospitals, senior care institutions or outpatient care; as well preparation for the Nursing Kenntnisprüfung (KP) exam and intercultural classes. The curriculum is coordinated with the German ministry of health and social affairs (LAGuS) and conducted in cooperation with DAA (Deutsche Angestellten Akademie). The participants are eligible to do "Kenntnisprüfung" (Knowledge Exam) after successful completion of the PAP coursework. Having completed this exam, the foreign nurses are recognised and then eligible to work as nurses in Germany and across the EU.
